Jeremy's Tourist Offices & Guide
Resources for Madrid
One of my favorite things about Madrid
is the excellent network of tourist information centers, especially in the
summertime when the tourist office even hits
the streets. Here I have provided a list of the Madrid tourist offices
around the city. You can click on the

icons to see the complete line trajectories and a map of the metro.

To help the huge amount of visitors to
Madrid during the summer months, the municipal tourist board hits the streets
and sets up shop at the most visited points of the city. The map below shows the location of the
summer only tourist information booths in Madrid. This is a service provided by
the "Patronato Municipal de Turismo" to make tourist, historical and
practical information more availably to visitors to Madrid. I personally highly
recommend these yellow booths, the employees are friendly and eager to help with
anything and everything.

***Alternative Toursit Offices in
Madrid
These are not-for-profit organizations that have the OK of the
town hall to orient tourists and inform them about the city. While I prefer
the official tourist offices, these may be an alternative as well. Keep in
mind that unlike the official tourist offices, these entities charge for
some of theirservices. The following is the main office of this organization:
CALLE CABALLERO DE GRACIA, 7 -
28013 - MADRID
tel: (+34) 91 531 44 57
fax: (+34) 91 531 44 57
Gran Vía, lines ,
or Sevilla, line
****Where to get a Local Guide
The following are companies that offer guide services (paid) for individual
and group visitors to Madrid. All three have been cleared by the town hall
so they should be trustworthy.
