*The International Bookshop - A great little bookshop in the center of Madrid, the IBS has become quite
the little subculture for ex-pats and tourists alike. Owned and operated by
Jenny (an American in love with Madrid), the bookshop specializes in
inexpensive second hand English, French, German and other foreign language
books. Jenny also finds the time to sell postcards, gifts and even organize

Spanish Booksellers
- These booksellers deal mostly in books in Spanish but may have some material in
other languages. Not all of them have websites or e-mail, can you believe it?
*Librería San Ginés - (no
website currently available) - specializes in the sale of antique and
second hand books and is located in the heart of madrid. The bookstore dates
back to the middle of the 19th century although recently discovered
records show mention of it existing as far back as the 17th century.
Although traditional and very historic, they have a database of their stock
and will soon be launching a website. Open:
